Chief Marketing Officer of Kyndryl

It’s all about the people. We say it often here at Kyndryl, but it’s true. People create progress. And people create progress because of the strength they find in being different.  After moving to the USA from Chile at 10 years old, I hated feeling different. I wanted to fit in; I wanted to look and sound like the people around me.  But my mother told me time and time again - my differences were my superpower. It took a while for me to realize she was right, but since I have, my Hispanic heritage has been the foundation upon which I lean every day. But not only is it my foundation for strength, it’s also the lens through which I see the world and people around me. In the last year I’ve had the opportunity to meet Kyndryls around the world. To hear about their cultures and celebrate our differences, together. As a global company, doing just that - celebrating and embracing what makes each of us unique - that’s the Kyndryl Way. Choosing empathy to better understand each other only furthers our ability to create progress. Today marks the beginning celebrations of #HispanicHeritageMonth - a time for recognizing and celebrating the contribution and influence of Hispanic people to the history, culture, and achievements of the world. I am so proud to celebrate this heritage at Kyndryl - not just with my fellow Hispanic team members, but also to celebrate the thread of being unique that truly links us all together across the world. #HispanicHeritage #TheHeartOfProgress

Thank you for your leadership within our Hispanic Kyndryl Inclusion Network (KIN) to foster a culture of inclusion, acceptance and opportunity.

Thank you Maria Bartolome Winans for not only being an avid advocate for Hispanics & Latinos everywhere... but for being a force that brings everyone together, regardless of heritage. As you point out there is strength in our differences - and power in our connections.

Almost 1 in 5 Americans consider themselves a hispanic or latino. Surreal to imagine that proportion and how we are influencing decisions based on our unique experiences and connections.

Differences are our superpower! Such wise words. Thank you, Maria for being an amazing leader for diversity, inclusivity, & authenticity in the Kyndryl community. #WeAreKyndryl ❤️

It is about heart! We, hispanics, are pure heart and heart moves everything!

Maria Bartolome Winans you have been a tremedous inspiration for so many Kyndryls (including me), but especially our Hispanic/Latino Kyndryl Inclusion Network (KIN) which joins you in celebrating our culture during Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond. Thanks for your leadership and look forward to participating in our events this coming month! Pa'lante!
